Tyler's Birthday

I feel a bit bad that I ended up planning to spend time with Sarah on my boyfriend's birthday. I didn't really think about it much till just now. He seems to not mind but I feel guilty although today was the last day I would get to spend time with her before summer vacation.

I started out this morning just waiting in bed for my mom to wake me up as I was too tired to get up on my own. When I finally had to get up I got dressed and started packing up the N64 so Sarah and I could play Pokemon Stadium. I almost didn't have time to eat breakfast but I managed it while carrying two bags filled with stuff. I had one back for the N64 and games and the second filled with all sorts of Pokemon things.

My mom took me to the office instead of to Sarah's house because we didn't know what time her mom was expecting me to come over so I ended up not going over until about 12 when my mom could take me. All the while I waited I played on the computer in Tyler's office. No, not Tyler my boyfriend who is also mentioned in the title of this post, but another Tyler who works at the office. I hadn't brought my laptop with me as I knew I would not need it at Sarah's house so I was lucky I could use that computer since Tyler wouldn't be there till tomorrow. I did little but rearrange my Farmville as it had become rather crowded. I was more than happy to stop doing that at lunch when I was finally able to go over to Sarah's.

Sarah was really excited to know I brought the N64 and Pokemon Stadium. I didn't expect this as I had told her yesterday I was going to bring it but she told me she thought that conversation was this morning so it was a surprise to her. When I got to her house I showed her my Pokemon drawings. She really liked them but as soon as she saw a picture of the legendary dogs she tried to tell me of some "super secret Pokemon" she claimed looked like a dark type legendary dog. At first I thought she meant Zorua and Zoroark as they are the closest to what she seemed to describe but she insisted that it wasn't. After a friendly argument and confusion on the matter, we cleared it up by checking Pokemon.com and realized it was Arceus she was talking about. I thought she had been telling me of a Pokemon I didn't know as she said it was released after Sinnoh but before gen 5. I told her that was impossible and it turns out I was right. We bout slapped ourselves when we realized a few pictures after that legendary dog one I had, was a picture of Arceus. If we had only seen a few more, that whole incident likely would not have existed.

We then looked at all of my Pokemon toys. Sarah was really interested in a lot of them but we didn't pay with them as much as I figured. We played a random little quick, non-scoring battle with the Burger King Pokeballs and the Pokemon in them. We got bored of that quickly and we went into Pokemon Stadium. I went easy on her the first round as I was afraid to upset her so she ended up winning. The second round however I did my best and beat her, of course, she was distracted most of the time and so she wasn't putting in much effort. We were bored of that after the second match so we emptied some Pokeballs to play with and took some other Pokemon toys with us outside to the park. We spent the most time doing this and just pretending to be Pokemon trainers. As odd as that sounds, it was a lot of fun and we spent until 4:25 doing that. I really think the Burger King Pokeballs had a nice touch today. It's a good thing me, my sisters and parents all went to get Burger King so much while those were being given as toys as I had 5 for each of us, nearly a whole team worth.

Sarah wanted to play Pokemon Snap before we left so we went back to her house so we could play it some before my mom came to pick me up. Turns out we had a bit more time than expected as my mom worked on getting the wireless internet working for her mom so we were there longer than my mom wanted to be. She eventually had to give up on working on it as we needed to get home to Leighanna. This was good though as Sarah and I got a little longer to wrap up and do a few more things before I had to go.

I had a pretty bad headache on the way home so I just stared blankly out the window the whole ride. I really wish that my fun didn't have to be over so soon but I was tired anyway and I wanted to rest. When I got home I just relaxed. I got the N64 out of the bag, hooked it back up and separated out the Pokemon toys Sarah and I would not play with from now on and put them in a drawer while keeping the others in my duffel bag for next time. I've got to find a box to put the other Pokemon things in so they don't clutter the drawer I put them in so they weren't scattered all over my bed or on the floor somewhere.

After getting that all settled I just relaxed and played on my computer and just as I was about to call Tyler, he called me. It was pretty funny. I talked to him a long while and spent some time back and forth through the house talking to him and my mom. About 9ish I finally got back to my computer and got on Skype so that Tyler and I could video chat. I wanted to wish him Happy Birthday on video. Over the phone just wasn't good enough. He was happy for it I think and I figured he deserved a little video chat on his birthday even though I don't really like them. It's not that I don't want to see him or anything, I just feel uncomfortable with them.

I think part of it is it lags my computer horribly so it's almost impossible to do anything else while video chatting which kills me because I'm such a multitasker. It's also sorta because I feel chained to my desk as I tend to float around all day. I'll sit at my comp for awhile then go off and get some water, eat, or just wander the house. I have a hard time sitting still so really, being at the office on Fridays is a little difficult for me but I always reserve enough things for me to do on those days when I have only my computer for entertainment. Yeah, that's right. I can get bored on my computer despite the hundreds of things I could do.

The video ended a little early as my mom called me to show me something really cool. It was completely worth it as it was for a free download of "Born Again" by Newsboys via a Facebook widget that they posted. I'm pretty excited about this and I can't wait to download it tomorrow. I'd do it tonight but I'm just too tired to mess with it. When I returned to the computer, the video had dropped but it's okay, I was getting tired of it anyway.

Well that's about it. I'm actually still on the phone with Tyler and I think I'm too tired to even try to play Pokemon Blue tonight. I'm going to go to bed pretty soon, I'm pretty wiped. Has to have been all that running around from earlier.
