Nutmeg Bread Is Awesome

Today ran it's course very differently than usual. First off I woke and immediately checked my phone for my mom's usual text telling me she made it to work. I found it odd when I didn't see one. I checked the time and saw it was 8:15, plenty of time for her to have gotten to work. I tried not ot panic too much at first so I just texted her asking if she made it. No response. I then texted her again with no response as well. At this point I worried and called her, the phone appeared to be off as I went straight to voice-mail soon after calling. This worried me as I knew that even if her phone was off and she forgot her charger, she would have called me from the office phone to let me know she was alright.

I tried to calm down while I waited for a response so I went into the kitchen to get me some breakfast. I chose to eat a couple of nutmeg bread muffins we made yesterday. My mom called me soon after and apologized then explained that she had not thought about not having sent a text as she had turned her phone off so that she could take Leighanna to the doctor as she was not feeling well today in addition to her throat hurting. Apparently she had a very bad pain in her stomach. I was so relieved to know my mom was alright and I was able to continue on with my day with my mind at rest. My mom also told me that my sister was with her at the office because she didn't see any reason to send Leighanna back to school as it would use a considerable amount of gas to do so. She was bored for awhile, so I was told, but luckily for her her friend came and picked her up.

I played on my computer as I usually do but I did not play Pokemon Ruby. I mostly just payed attention to my Farmville, harvested crops and used gifts then played on GPX a bit. I had to stop for awhile as it started to rain pretty hard and I heard thunder so I shut down both my computers. During the time that I waited for the storm to end I spent time with Blanco and Raya, our two larger dogs whom are believed to be terrier/doberman mixes. They are such sweet dogs although they don't smell very good. I think they enjoyed me playing with them and loving on them a bit. The rain had let up after awhile so I got my computers back up and used them briefly before deciding to take a bath. It felt really good especially on my left arm which was mildly sore from playing the Wii yesterday.

I played on my computer some more for a couple hours till Leighanna's friend brought her home which was around 12ish. I was glad I got my bath early as I had expected very slightly that she would come home early. She asked if I wanted to play the Wii and, of course, I did though I got me something to eat before we started as I was pretty hungry. I ate a couple hot-dogs and a mini bag of crunchy Cheetos. Having that done my sis and I started playing Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution. We were happy knowing we'd get a little more time to play it today than usual. Of course, it ended up being the same amount of time as my other sister, Lindsay decided to pop over out of nowhere. This caused us to have to pause and sit around and listen to her for a few hours before my mom came home. We had started pizza to cooking just before Lindsay had shown up. Apparently Lindsay had come over to get some things but I guess she felt like staying and chatting awhile contrary to her usual where she comes in, gets stuff then leaves.

I really thought she would be gone soon, but of course not. She ended up staying and eating with us which was fine and I figured she'd leave soon after that, but she didn't. Instead she stuck around and spent time with mom and Leighanna, which suited me fine but she had to randomly come into my room just to bug me. What bothered me the most was when she walked over to my plant table and picked up my Venus flytrap without even asking me. I really hate it when anyone does that, it makes me feel like they have no respect for my belongings. I always ask before I pick something up to investigate it further if it does not belong to me unless it is a situation in which it is obvious I can pick it up without asking.

She went back to talk to mom some more after that. Leighanna had grown tired of Lindsay's company so we went back to playing Naruto. We did this for awhile until for some reason

Lindsay ended up staying pretty late despite telling those staying at Gran's house that she would not be long here. We had House tonight too and she decided she would stick around till after that. That irritated me but I was more irritated when she had to start talking in the middle of the show and then being disrespectful to Leighanna and laughing at her like she was some kind of moron for saying she had become sore from playing the Wii. I would have said something but I just didn't feel like instigating more of a confrontation with her than I needed to. Besides, Leighanna fought back on her own.

Having that done my sis and I started playing Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution. As we played, I kept snacking on the bag of fallen apart nutmeg bread. We had a lot of fun playing our favorite characters and just flattening our opponents and we kept laughing at how, NON-random that game chose opponents more than half the time. We even had a time where she had been playing Itachi and me as Kisame then we decided to let the game choose our characters at random. Very bizarrely, it chose me as Itachi and she as Kisame; a complete switch of what we were playing previously. We also kept fighting characters on the first match which we had just gotten done playing.

We were happy knowing we'd get a little more time to play it today than usual. Of course, it ended up being the same amount of time as my other sister, Lindsay decided to pop over out of nowhere. Lindsay ended up staying pretty late despite telling those staying at Gran's house that she would not be long here. Leighanna had grown tired of Lindsay's company so we went back to playing Naruto. We had begun to try to get Hokage rank on two-player mode. This was hard and we still have not gotten it. We kept trying random characters and figuring out which ones would get us the biggest score. We were about halfway through one run when my mom told us House was comin on. Unfortunately Lindsay decided she had to stick around till it was over.

When House was over she did leave soon after that, much to my relief. I think I had a slight misunderstanding tonight when she was leaving though as she had just said she was leaving so I said "Okay" and she questioned my response so I shrugged really not knowing what the issue was. Apparently she had asked for a hug but I hadn't heard any of that really. Although she demanded a hug, she was not willing to move towards me to get it, but instead demanded I go to her. That pissed me off as I felt I had to give her exactly as she demanded because my mom commented on how stupid it was. I agree but she could have at least walked towards me as well, it would have made it more believable that she wanted a hug from me. I gave her a hug but for some reason she had a complaint about it. Of course, nothing is good enough for her it seems. Whatever.

Leighanna and I returned to the game quickly after that and we continued our quest for a high-score. We tried many combinations and found some good ones, first we had me playing Shikimaru and she Temari which was pretty good for awhile then we got even better when I played Kisame while she played Temari. After that we began playing random combinations again, choosing the characters at random not by using the random icon on the game but by pressing at an angle on the directional pad then stopping and/or clicking, before coming up with the idea of Leighanna only playing Temari while I found my best scoring character then when I found it, we'd do the same for her while I only play that same character. I tried many characters all of which we made no significant scoring with. We finally decided to write any down that we got a good score with when I had let the game pick a character for me at random and after doing this a few time and it landing on Ino, we managed a pretty hefty score of 40k on the first battle (two matches). To test our combos we only did the first match then would switch but considering our nice score here we continued on for the entire thing and managed a final score of 346650 but it only net us the Head Ninja rank. I don't think this is the one that made second place on the scoreboard that we got today and I cannot recall what the score was nor what characters were played though I think Leighanna played Temari.

Determined to get it we continued trying combos, I ended up playing Tenten while Leighanna played Temari and we only got 38k on battle 1. We decided this was too insignificant to go through the rest. Right after that I randomly decided to play Sasuke; to our surprise, he net us a killer score when paired with Temari. We ended up getting a whooping score of 81k on the first battle alone. We obviously continued for the rest of the matches and ended up shattering our old top-score with a score of 410544 but we were really surprised it was only enough to get Head Ninja rank. We now have no idea how high of a score we would have to get to get Hokage rank.

We tried looking for Leighanna a better character for scoring than Temari while I played Sasuke but we found none although we ended up unable to repeat our score of 80ishK even with Sasuke and Temari. We started to grow tired of it as the time approached 10, plus Leighanna was getting pretty sore. We wrapped things up and stopped, hoping after some rest we could go back to getting massive scores again. Massive in our opinion. Instead of hauling my Wii back to my room, I decided to leave it in the living room tonight although I did take with me the controllers and the sensor bar. The sensor bar because of it's tiny cord that a cat might want to chew through and the controllers just because I wanted to. I unplugged the Wii in case there is an unexpected power surge and I placed the Wii on top of a device inside the entertainment center so there is no risk of it being knocked off by a cat from atop the entertainment center where I had placed it during play. I'm a little uncomfortable leaving it in there but the animals don't bother the other gaming systems or large cables so it should be alright. Besides, it's a pain hauling it back and forth when we are actively playing it often.

Since coming back in here, I have played around on my eBay a bit as I actually had done earlier although I failed to mention it earlier in this post. I'm still stalking Pokemon Games, mostly Soul Silver and Emerald right now. I had looked at a lot for some Pokemon figurines for about 14 dollars but I decided against it and deleted it from my watch list. I have actually not even bid on anything I've been watching, I'm very careful with my money so I actually watch things for a long time before buying something. I've probably watched tons of lots that ended before I could decide if it was worth it, though some I had decided they weren't worth it. I think the lots currently on my watch list have been dealt with for the time being until tomorrow. One ends in a day so I gotta check it out in the morning. But until then, I'm gonna play Pokemon Ruby then sleep.

I think I covered almost everything I can remember for today. I'm sure I got some things wrong as I sometimes forget the order of things when it involves a recurring activity throughout the day that is frequently interrupted. I don't have days like that often actually. Anywho, I think this post is long enough so I'm gonna go on to bed now. Night all!
